Way Off The Grid is a quirky comedy short film about a family living without electricity and modern day technology. All is going as well as can be expected until the father’s brother comes to live with them, bringing his obsession with materialism and technological madness with him. They plot to get rid of him, but his own disregard for nature does him in. It’s a story about living lightly on the earth and the consequences if we don’t.
Sharon Y. Cobb wrote the film and it was directed and produced by Marc Boese for his Team Best Friends for the 2011 48 Go Green International Film Competition.
Awards: Placed #37 in the world among over 3,000 films made in 80 cities on five continents.
